I feel fitter than ever and having lost 17Ibs during in the month it’s safe to say that the clean eating really works.

I decided to take part in the January challenge because I realised that I needed help losing weight. I had been calorie counting for about 11 months and although it had helped me lose a lot weight, since having my gall bladder removed end of July the weight wouldn’t budge. I chose booticamp because I wanted to learn how to eat cleanly but I also wanted to improve my fitness with it. The challenge did just that; I feel fitter than ever and having lost 17Ibs during in the month it’s safe to say that the clean eating really works.

How has the challenge changed me? Doing the challenge has completely changed my relationship with food. Before I thought as long as I was within my daily calorie limit and as long as it wasn’t deep fried or covered in chocolate it was alright. Every meal had to come with some kind of potato. Now I have learnt to love veg and how to think of different ways to prepare it to keep it yummy and interesting. I have learnt how to read my own body more and understand what it needs.

I am proud of how well I am doing so if I have a rough day at work rather that stop off for fast food on the way home to de-stress I go for a run, and actually feel better for it. I feel really healthy and a lot slimmer. I was over the moon when I dropped a jean size.

Feeling positive about how I have done is a great motivation to keep going and keep working hard so I am confident I can keep it up.
